Coming up to breath

I always seem to think that when one "season" ends life will slow down and I'll have more time for the things I want to do/need to do. At the end of the school year we are ready to be done with extra-curricular activities for a while and we have summer to look forward to. Then summer comes and we are busy with summer camp and all those extra things we want to do and rather than be rested at the end of the summer we're spent. I then expect that once school starts again and we are back into our routine we'll slow down. My mentality of thinking isn't working. What one "season" doesn't have the next one seems to have....and the cycle continues.

I've thought about what we could give up to make our life simpler. But, the reality is that if we give something up we will just pick something up to replace it with. We like to be busy and we like to do all the things we do. And if we didn't do them we'd miss them.

So as the summer comes to an end and the school year begins we head into another "season" of doing all the things we love.......and feeling like we still don't have time to do everything that we want to do.
